Trudy Rose Brody Memorial Scholarship- All applications should be submitted via email to trudyrosebrody@gmail.com. The due date has been extended to April 24th.

Kathleen Taylor Memorial Community Service Scholarship application deadline has been extended to April 30, 2020.

Smithtown College Aid Scholarship applications must be submitted via email: Smithtowncsc@yahoo.com or regular mail: P.O. Box 497, Smithtown, NY 11787 by May 1, 2020 (email/postmark date).

BNB Bank Business Scholars Scholarship- The deadline has been extended to April 30, 2020. Applications must be emailed in PDF format to Mimi Bristel, AVP, Customer Communications Manager, at mbristel@bnbbank.com, with the subject: BNB Business Scholars Program Application. (no hard copies through the mail). Students may type their information in a word document instead of using the application.

UNICO Italian Heritage Scholarship Islip-Smithtown Chapter- This scholarship will no longer be offered this year.

The Cristin Ann Bambino Scholarship, The Paul Jensen Scholarship and the Joseph Goncalves Student Humanitarian Scholarship due dates have been extended. Applications should be received on or before Friday, April 30, 2020.

Suffolk County Athletic Trainers’ Association Scholarship (SCATA) deadline has been extended to June 5th, 2020.

Letters of Recommendation: If you currently have sealed letters of recommendation in your possession you can email either your recommender and have them email the recommendation directly or request a physical address from the donor and mail it directly to them.

There are scholarship opportunities available to juniors interested in attending Rochester Institute of Technology and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Please email your counselor by April 15, 2020 if you are interested.

The National Honor Society will be hosting HOMEWORK CAFE every other Thursday. There will be an opportunity for peer tutoring in any subject along with hot chocolate and cookies! Time is from 2:05 - 2:45 in the Commons Cafe.

Career Center

Students who are looking for volunteer work, jobs or internships, can visit the Smithtown High School Career Center's website located at www.tinyurl.com/smithtowncareercenter. There is also a link on this website for resume and cover letter writing. In addition, there are many Career Planning resources listed for students who are looking toward their future.

If you are interested in a summer employment program, a local job, an internship or need help planning your future, please contact Ms. Grafstein via e-mail (mgrafstein@smithtown.k12.ny.us) or stop in the Career Center (Room 123B across from computer lab 124).


The overall purpose of the PTSA {Parent Teacher Student Association} is to strengthen the connections between parents, students, school staff, and the community and to help all work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit all students. We encourage every parent, student, and school staff to join the PTSA. Membership is $11 for adults and $6 for students. Applications are available on the school website.
